Unknown Wasp - Trogomorpha trogiformis - Female
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
June 19, 2010
I know this is a bit unfair, but any ID would be appreciated. I could not get a side view as this critter was more twitchy than a pack of hens with a fox loose in the coop. As far as I could tell, the only parts not red on this wasp were the wings.

Possibly Trogomorpha trogiformis.

Moved from ID Request.

Ichneumon wasp…
This is likely in the subfamily Ichneumoninae. Dr. Carlson will be able to take this further to genus level or beyond.
