Interesting But Totally Unfamiliar Beetle - Systena frontalis

Interesting But Totally Unfamiliar Beetle - Systena frontalis
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
June 24, 2010
Found on crepe-myrtle leaf. I have seen beetles of this general shape around here before, but none had red heads. This is the first close examination I have made of this type of beetle.....It is a rather darker shade in coloring than others similar to it and not at all irridescent.
