More Minute Tree Fungus Beetles - Octotemnus glabriculus

More Minute Tree Fungus Beetles - Octotemnus glabriculus
Hudson, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
January 12, 2006
Size: 1.5 mm
Found two in large, thick, tough fungus that resembled tree fungus in shape. Because many of these beetles are said to be host-specific I thought this might be a new species, but the underside view shows that "subconical" formation that distinguishes this species.

This shot might be marginally better than my prior shots of this species.
