Identification

S. ornatella Casey is narrower & less robust than other species. The prothorax is not so densely cribrately punctate as in S. cribrata (LeConte) (TX-KS-MO-AR; reared from wheat); S. pimalis Casey AZ-TX; S. subacuta Casey NV-NM-TX(2)(3)
