scalloped sack-bearer (Lacosoma chiridota) - Lacosoma chiridota - Male
Epping, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
June 22, 2010
Size: Wingspan about 2.5 cm.
I found this fantastic moth in the shadow just above my backdoor light. I am fairly certain this is a scalloped sack-bearer (Lacosoma chiridota). Please correct me if I am wrong. The lot is wooded mixed deciduous/coniferous with a river nearby.
