crab - Carcinus maenas

crab - Carcinus maenas
Bass Beach, Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
June 26, 2010
I had five goals that day:
1. Catch lots of crabs (I don't keep them I catch them for fun and let them go)
2. Photograph a kelp fly
3. Photograph a sand flea
4. Photograph marine springtails
5. Photograph a maritime earwig

Goal #1. Check. 61 crabs. That's how many I caught that day. This is the biggest. Found in the tide pools under rocks.
