Tibicen resh (?)
Given locality, pattern, coloration and the light colored eyes, T. resh is a likely candidate. Several closely related species possess similar eye coloration incl. T. auletes, T. resonans, T. resh & T. pronotalis.
T. resh is known to be common in this area (T. auletes & T. resonans are not reported and the reports of T. pronotalis are likely resh, esp. since the two are often confused). T. dealbatus which replaces pronotalis west and into the Plains occurs in nearby sites further supporting the id. by eliminating the liklihood of pronotalis - since the two are not thought to overlap but rather seem to blend in a narrow band or to exist parapatrically.
NOTE: Id of tenerals is not always possible, but in this case, elimination of other taxa leaves T. resh as the most likely.
