Lachesilla sp. - Lachesilla contraforcepeta

Lachesilla sp. - Lachesilla contraforcepeta
San Marcos, Aquarena Springs, Hays County, Texas, USA
January 7, 2010
Size: 2.1 mm
This small golden lachillid with green eyes look much like Lachesilla contraforcepeta. The tawny wings, pale tan coloration, size and association with Ashe juniper are clues. But this species lacks the "2 red bars one above and one below the antennal socket" and I now think is is a different species. I did find L. contraforcepeta at Bastrop State Park.
