Garage Spider - Zoropsis spinimana

Garage Spider - Zoropsis spinimana
Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County, California, USA
February 4, 2006
Size: 1.5 to 2 inches
Found this in the garage. What kind of spider is it and is it dangerous?

Not dangerous.
I'm not sure what it is, but the short legs remind me of a crab spider.

Lycosidae.
Pretty sure this is a wolf spider in the family Lycosidae. The large abdomen almost threw me off, but this might be a gravid female. I am taking the size given seriously, by the way:-)
