Antlike Flower Beetle - Sapintus fulvipes

Antlike Flower Beetle - Sapintus fulvipes
Boxborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
February 4, 2006
Size: 2.5mm
Found under a rock. I'm thinking Cleridae with that hairy elytra.

Moved
Moved from Sapintus pubescens.

Oops. on
reflection in seeing that size range, it has to be S. fulvipes, the smaller species.

Anthicidae: Sapintus pubescens?
Far from Cleridae. It is a Sapintus, and from the size it is most likely Sapintus pubescens. It is the best anthicid picture so far.

Antlike Flower Beetle
