Are we playing some kind of game here?
It is a Comanche Skimmer. It doesn't need to be in ID Request. If you don't believe William's ID, then at least have the courtesy to tell him. Let's not just keep moving these images around. This is nuts!

game?
no, I just didn't know better. Sorry. One person said one thing then somebody else said another so I figured it should still be in id request since it was still being identified. I thought I was too quick to move it into the category the 1st person said. I was actually taking everybody seriously is why here then there. If it's not supposed to be in id it can be moved. It's not that good of picture anyway it should be what you call frazzed I think. I just really wanted to know for sure what people think it is .... The second person created some doubts in me and already stated the non belief. I kinda believe it is a commanche skimmer but I'm not educated in this like you are. If i move it to commanche skimmer then I would be moving the image again which is nuts and looks like a game but if I keep it here it doesn't need to be so maybe I should delete it?

Ah! We get it now.
First, William identified your insect. Second, you moved two of the four images to the Comanche page. That breakup of the four images actually caused all this accidental confusion. Third, V wanted to move the two images you left in ID Request to the generic Dragonfly page, and to do so he hit Tag All. This had the unforeseen consequence of removing the two images from Comanche along with the two that were still in ID Request. (He was not saying it wasn't a Comanche. They were simply accidentally moved simultaneously. William's ID is the only one you have received.) Notified by William, we moved all four of your images to Comanche, which is where they belong, thus succeeding in confusing you further. Sorry. We will move them all back to Comanche, where they belong. Probably more of an explanation than you wanted, but there it is. Thank you for posting and putting up with the quirks of BugGuide and find us some more beauties!

Great :-)
Oh thank you so much for your encouragement. Yes I took two pictures, edited them into sharper images. then put them into the classification Commanche Skimmer. I'm slow and didn't get to the other two - oops. So glad you have put them all where they belong. I'm out in Tarrant county, btw, every week at the same location looking for this dragonfly (for a better picture). I think I spotted it once and leaned over to capture the image but instead felt pain on my ankle to look down to see my foot was covered in ants. Of course it was gone when I was able to look for it again.

Your Comanche Skimmer Images
Tex Pet - I'm the one that originally identified your images as a female Comanche Skimmer.
The images were also confirmed by John and Jane Balaban as a Comanche Skimmer.
All of your images are pretty good and each one shows a slightly different aspect of this dragonfly.
I hope that you'll move all of your images back to the Comanche Skimmer image page as there really aren't many images of this species on BugGuide and especially the female.
Thank you very much for submitting your images.
