Moved
Moved from Syritta pipiens.

Syritta flaviventris ... fema
Syritta flaviventris ... female.
Two white spots on the transverse suture towards middle of thoracic dorsum. The markings on tergite 4 more linear in pipiens. No spurious vein which is most unusual for Syrphidae and it is present in pipiens.
Flagellum more elongate and it is round and more orange in pipiens.

Thanks, Ron
Moved from Flies.

Yes, syrphid: Syritta pipiens
It's usually this when you have a fly with enlarged rear femur, sporting "saw teeth". This is a very nice presentation of the pattern on the abdomen, which is often pretty obscure.
