Yes, thanks, Eric, for pointing us in the right direction. Kaston's good ol' "How to Know..." book mentions Allocosa funerea, and the description and illustration fit your specimen perfectly.
BTW, things are finally quieting down here a bit; I should get back to your specimens this weekend or Monday, I think.

That would be a nice new addition if it turns out to be that species.

The drawing and description are so close (and it looks so unlike most other wolf spiders) that I would go ahead and move it to species. We can always correct ourselves.
