Caulotops on Agave deserti - Agaveocoris
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA

Size: BL~5.5 mm
This is a better photo we found of the Caulotops. It is the same insect and also had head down. We have rotated it clockwise. Do you frass the other photos?

I wouldn't frass anything just yet...
There are so few images in the guide for this genus that I wouldn't worry too much about frassing any of them. Plus, the other image may prove useful in obtaining the (still elusive) species ID.

For future reference, when someone asks if you can submit the same photo, only rotated, it's best to actually substitute the rotated photo for the original post rather than adding another duplicate version of the same image. To do this, you could have clicked "edit" under the original image and then in the "Image" field of the submission form you just browse again to find the newly saved rotated image and then click the "submit" button at the bottom of the page. As of right now, the tricky problem we have is that if you delete the first image you posted, you will end up deleting all the pertinent ID comments and that would not be good! I realize my explanation may be a bit confusing... please feel free to e-mail me if you want any help in the future or if you need me to try and clarify what I wrote.

THanks for the input
I think I understand. You can "edit" a picture in the same way that you can edit text. Good to know. I'm still learning all the myriads of details about BugGuide.
