Stenocaecilius casarum (Badonnel) -- E.L. Mockford det.
his comment: "The elongated shape and dark mark through the frons and postclypeus are diagnostic. I had not recorded it north of the lower Rio Grande valley in Texas, but everything seems to be moving northward in that state. It inhabits palm foliage, but there are probably abundant planted palms in the Houston region."
remarkable addition to the guide, John!
