Size: 4 cm estimated
I believe the genus of this moth is Xanthotype, but I would like to know the species. The photo was taken at noon.

This is indeed Xanthotype, however, this guys are tough (impossible?) to ID in the field.

Xanthotype, yes.
According to the Guide, "Species identification not possible with certainty, except by genitalic examination."
