Dung Fly

Dung Fly
Medford, Jackson County, Oregon, USA
February 9, 2006
This fly was hobbling around in my backyard. It had a yellow body with dark markings on the back. Its wings were longer than its body. Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks for the confirmation. It is appreciated. :)

Perhaps
a dung fly? See guide pages.

Maybe...
It could be a dung fly. It looks similar to the other pictures of dung flies in the guide. Also, there is plenty of dog dung in my backyard for it to be attracted to.
