Beetle
Red Wing, Goodhue County, Minnesota, USA
July 2, 2010
This one's a slight mystery to me. I think it's a type of beetle, but if not, any ID help with it? In advance, thanks.

Probably a minute Lath*robium
Probably a Lath*robium sp., unquestionably a paederine but it could also be a Lobra*thium sp.

Cheers,
Adam

Staphylinidae
This is one of the Rove Beetles. Pretty tiny, from the looks of the background?

Good to hear from you, Stephe
Good to hear from you, Stephen. Yes it was. It was shot with the MP-E 65mm lens, and as best as I recall, probably in the 5-8mm range in length, maybe just a bit bigger.
