small fungus-eating beetle larva

small fungus-eating beetle larva
Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
February 10, 2006
Size: 2.0 - 2.2 mm
This tiny beetle larva apparently fell out of some of the hollow tree fungus I inspected for critters. Hopefully it will mature so its species can be determined.

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

no legs . . .
. . . so it cannot be Anobiidae. Regarding the habitat, Anthribidae might be a possibility.

cheers, Boris

Hmmm.
