Phyllobius intrusus Kono
This is Phyllobius intrusus Kono. The recent handbook on Canadian broad-nosed weevils by Bouchard and Bright has one recent record of P. intrusus from Langley, BC.

Thanks, Dr. Anderson and v!
^^

ID error
Phyllobius sp. Not the simlar looking Polydrusus. My error and it may take some time to ID the species. It appears to be possibly a Japanese species. The Old World introduced weevils are difficult to ID when specimens are available and can be more so with only photos.

Thanks, Dr. O'Brien!
I can send the specimen. Please let me know your address.

i wonder if this may be Ph. intrusus, Arborvitae Japanese Weevil

ID
Polydrusus cervinus (Linnaeus) I have it from NY, NH, VT, MS, and Europe. This is the first record from the Pacific coast but is a common extension of range for introduced weevils.

this is a Phyllobius, but not oblongus
i suspect a eurasian addition; will ask around
