I liked the previous combination better; Chalcophorella sp. [now for European and Asian spp.] - looks similar.

Thanks for sharing the image, Phil! It shows nicely the serrated margins of the elytra, that help set the genus apart from Chalcophora. I remember running into an emergence of this species in a blowdown area in Mt. Airy Forest, Cincinnati. Quite a spectacle.
