Any ID for this metallic-colored fly? Next to it is a nailhead about 3/8 inch in diameter. Thanks.

Thanks for pointing in that direction. After looking, to me, there is a very close visual comparison to Microchrysa polita. Maybe an expert can verify that comparison.
