Any idea about the species?? Could it be Geotrupes balyi (Large Black Chafer)???

Yes, probably G. balyi
There are only two species with protibiae like that... G. balyi and G. hornii. [=complete carina on the subapical tooth] The size is not given, but G. hornii tends to be large and black.

Thank you very much MJ for your confirmation. This one was not too large and big. Then G. balyi seems a perfect id!
