Some eggs

I found this on our window. They hatched by the next morning and I haven't seen any of the hatchlings. Anybody knows what it is?

Horse fly?

Reminds me of horse fly eggs, but those are usually in a more compact mass....

Actually, since they are probably likely some horsefly the choice for laying the eggs on our window seemed pretty poor: there is no water or moisture nearby. I was curious, why I did not find any larvea around. So looking at the place from closer, it looks like a crime scene: Probably one of our lizzard friends had a great feast on them and they never hatched.
