bug - Acanthocephala

bug - Acanthocephala
Gainesville, Florida, USA
May 31, 2004
Possibly this is a more mature version of the bug hatchling I just posted (below) - this was taken almost a month later. It has the same antennae and the spiky edge to its abdomen.

Coreid bug nymph
Very nice photo of the nymph of an insect in the family Coreidae, the "leaf-footed bugs." This is probably an "adolescent" specimen of a species of Acanthocephala.
