WNC unknown orb weaver - Araneus bicentenarius

WNC unknown orb weaver - Araneus bicentenarius
Bryson City, Mountains of WNC County, North Carolina, USA
This spider, perhaps in the Neoscona species, has not been named despite help from two college professors. This is one of three uploaded views, from different angles. It made a huge web (4'x3') in two different places in my yard; always starting late in the evening, around 9:30 pm. The abdomen(?) alone is the size of a quarter and is almost lime green in color. When viewed from the back, the body looks like a praying mantis head as it has two protrusions on its "shoulders" which look like eyes.

Check out Araneus bicentenarius - Giant Lichen Orbweaver
in the guide here and see what you think.

Thank you!
Yes, Giant Lichen Orbweaver is the fit. My spider seems to have more detailed markings on its body than many of the other posted spiders. Would it be an older spider, perhaps? Or, are the markings more enhanced because of some male/female differences? Any ideas?
