Size: 2 inches
got this picture from a friend so the size is an estimate by me. Looks like it should be totally easy to ID, but I can't find a picture like it. So please help. Thanks!

Cecropia Moth Caterpillar
It is indeed a Cecropia Moth caterpillar - I recently photographed some of these at the Kensington Metro Park near Brighton, MI. These are among the largest of the "Giant Silkworms".

Where did you see them at Kensington? I go there about once a week. Usually i'm on the paths around the nature center. But I need to explore farther. Thanks!

I was lucky enough to catch t
I was lucky enough to catch the guy up by the nature center who comes every so often to do a demonstration - he breeds them and he had a bunch - he also had Monarch Butterflies too
