Callidiellum
I believe I collected a specimen on Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Lakehurst, NJ of the related Callidiellum rufipenne--an Asian import. Collected near Red Cedars. According to Lingafelter's (2007) Illustrated Key, prior records from North Carolina and CT, so Jersey record may indicate they filled the gap between the two states. No images on BG so I will see if I can get someone to take photo of specimen for confirmation and posting.

Not surprising
I've seen survey maps that show finds in SE PA, so NJ would make sense. Still, it probably wouldn't hurt to contact
the extension office for that county
to let them know what you found.

Thanks for this info
Chris Maier up in New Haven had records from Jersey going back quite a ways and this represents merely a county record. Chris has records from almost every state from GA to ME.
