Ocrepeira georgia also apparently ranges almost this far north. Levi (1976) indicates that members of this genus, which apparently live in trees, are rather rarely seen, so maybe you could collect a specimen if it should turn up again. He also indicates that O. ectypa is by far the most common of the three NA species in collections.

to me.

The face and shape
make us think of Ocrepeira, but we don't know if you have any in RI. We'll check some more.
