Filigreed Chimoptesis - Hodges #3273 (Chimoptesis pennsylvaniana) - Agnippe prunifoliella
East Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA
July 20, 2010
Size: 3mm ?
This might have been a speck of dust on the screen near compact fluorescent lights at the back of the house.
Were it not for the posture, I wouldn't have ID'd it as a moth.

Moved
Moved from Gelechioidea.

Agnippe prunifoliella
This is Agnippe prunifoliella (Gelechiidae).

Moved
Moved from Filigreed Chimoptesis.

The large up-curved palps are more gelechioid-looking, it reminds me of Polix coloradella, though I am not certain.
