The color is a bit off (typically a bit more greenish-brown) but the shape of the 8th abdominal segment and the strongly, evenly, curved urogomphi leave no doubt: the transcontinental pyrochroine, Schizotus cervicalis Newman.

you're right to parenthesize 'pincers': those are in one solid piece, no moving parts -- more like a cupholder. i'll ask Dr Young to check the larva and give a sp. name
