Several opinions on
these 2 images. As it has been sitting in ID Request for a long time thought I would move it. Taiga Bluet seems most likely.

Taiga Bluet?
At first glance I thought Spreadwing with the way it's holding it's wings, but the stigma is wrong for a spreadwing. The large eyespots (blue patches behind the eyes), and the thoracic pattern are other clues. It has female pattern, and looks like the blue form female Coenagrion resolutum in Ed Lam's book (1), but I could be wrong. The surest way of identification is to get a close look at the cerci.

Ay, I agree. Dispite the position of the wings (which made me to first think spreadwing) I think it is a Bluet. I was leaning more towards a female Familiar Bluet (E. civile) as Ed shows three diferent colour forms, including a blue one and browish one. The Taiga Bluet could fit too but in the book seems like it should be more green that this individual is.

Adult
Immature damselflies are aquatic, wingless nymphs, so this is definitely an adult. When they first emerge, they may not have their full colors developed yet, in which case they're known as teneral individuals. It looks to me, though, like this is the mature, fully-developed coloration.

I hope someone who knows more than I do will be able to provide an ID.
