Melanoplus gracilis or Paroxya clavuliger? - Paroxya clavuliger - male

Melanoplus gracilis or Paroxya clavuliger? - Paroxya clavuliger - Male
Occoquan Bay NWR, Prince William County, Virginia, USA
July 23, 2010
There were other Paroxya clavuliger in the area, but the bright green femur is suggestive of Melanoplus gracilis. Do they share similar habitat?

Moved

It is Paroxya
The color varies, and some are much more green than others. M. gracilis, I suspect (but I haven't studied the issue), should be moved to Paroxya, and is very very similar; however, as far as I know, it always has short wings (???).
