Spider - Araneus marmoreus - Female

This spider has made its home in our outside water tap. It has a web below. It usually stays inside the faucet until it catches something, then comes out to get it. I saw it eating a large wasp. There is another spider that hangs around it with similar markings but it is smaller without the bulging abdomen.

What a beauty!

That's an adult female A. marmoreus all right. They should be appearing in most of Alberta right about now.
