Adult female - Alopecosa aculeata - female

Adult female - Alopecosa aculeata - Female
Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada
July 22, 2010
Size: BL ~ 8 mm
A healthy adult female in her natural habitat. At this time of the year it is possible that she has already reared a brood of spiderlings. I found one carrying an egg sac on June 30, and the babies emerged about a week later.

Identified by the epigyne.
