Emesinae nymph? - Empicoris

Emesinae nymph? - Empicoris
Stulsaft Park, Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, USA
July 24, 2010
Size: 4 mm
Beat from oak tree. Perhaps a thread-legged bug nymph? I have some other live photos and a pointed specimen if that would be helpful for generic ID.

Moved
Moved from Empicoris.

Moved
Almost certainly a nymph of Empicoris. And yes, there are some adults in other genera that exhibit brachypterism though not in this one.

Moved from Thread-legged Bugs.

Moved
Moved from True Bugs, Cicadas, Hoppers, Aphids and Allies. Thanks, v! Guess I'll move it here for now.

Emesinae, yes; nymph, probably
i wonder whether there are any brachypterous adults in this group to include in the differential -- but Swanny would know
