It eclosed 7/25/2010 - Pandemis limitata
Pennypack Restoration Trust, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 25, 2010
Size: 14 mm full length
It eclosed yesterday, that is 7-8 days since pupation. Length is from snout to tip of wings. It must be a member of the Archipini tribe, at least that is my guess.

Looks Like 3594 - Pandemis limitata
(no rsvp, thanks)

For what it's worth, I took a look at the images at BOLD here and P. limitata looks like a better match than lamprosana.

It does, but...
According to the Tortricidae food plant database, P. lamprosana (3593) is the only member of this genus known to feed on witch hazel. Could it be that one? That species seems variable and I'm not clear on what the distinction is. Both species seem to be generalists.

(Way to go, Beatriz, by the way!)
