This is a strange one. I haven't seen a scleritization pattern like this before. According to Gauld's writings there were a lot of potentially undescribed purgatus-like species in Florida. I know you took this pic a long time ago, but I hope you see (maybe even catch for me haha) another one.

 
If I still lived there I might try.
But I have moved and have a very different habitat here. I also gave up black / merc. vapor lighting because of my eyes.
