I keep coming back to this images, and it sure looks like Lacon mexicanus. L. mexicanus is known from the SE (FL and adjacent areas) and AZ (Arnett, 1952). I am not sure of its presence in TX though, but it makes sense it would be there.

looks like a Lacon sp., but not familiar with TX's fauna.
