Click Beetle - Lacon mexicanus
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
July 25, 2010

Moved
Shoulda looked more closelyon BG first; Mike Quinn has images from TX :)

Moved from Lacon.

Lacon...
I keep coming back to this images, and it sure looks like Lacon mexicanus. L. mexicanus is known from the SE (FL and adjacent areas) and AZ (Arnett, 1952). I am not sure of its presence in TX though, but it makes sense it would be there.

cool.
Moved from Click Beetles.

Beautiful
looks like a Lacon sp., but not familiar with TX's fauna.
