K.V. Makarov's opinion:
"Odd. The pronotum looks like
H. rufipes
but the rest, i'm not sure. Black-legged
Pseudoophonus
live in Asia but this one doesn't look like those, so this being a melanistic variant is a viable option, but again, i can't be positive."

i suspect he's right
but I've never seen one like this before. Would be an interesting specimen for Peter or another carabid expert to see.
