Recognized by a black shiny appearance, long segmented elbowed antennae, a long pronotum that extends back to the tegula, a spherical head shape, petiolate abdomen, and reduced wing venation. Was surprised when I found one of these one night recently at a light trap. They are actually quite common, bur rarely seen or photographed.
