Croping
You will improve your chances of an ID if you crop your images tighter so that the bug shows more detail. Remember that only you and the editors can see the full size image.

Welcome to Bugguide
Most beginners don't realize that although it is mentioned in the instructions or help page. (Too much to read and learn!). Anyway you will increase your chances of having your image IDed and staying in the guide if you crop them. You can fix the ones you submitted by editing them and replacing them with the cropped version.
