It is a male Meadow Katydid
of the genus
Conocephalus
. I may be able to put a species name on it shortly, because your photograph shows the upper side of the folded wings and the cerci very clearly. Also the color pattern is very distinctive and may be diagnostic too. I don't have the resources handy to pin it down at the moment, but will try to learn it with you soon.
