Tiny Spider - Uloborus glomosus

Tiny Spider - Uloborus glomosus
Hopkins Gap, Little North Mountain, Rockingham County, Virginia, USA
August 1, 2010
Size: ~1 mm
Found in web between rotten logs over forest leaf litter. A number of these tiny spiders were in the area. Unfortunately I didn't get a good eye view.

Moved
Moved from Unidentified Spiderlings. I just love it when I can remember something like this. First it makes me feel like my memory isn't all that bad and second it's like a really challenging matching game. =]

It's funny how obvious
that long first pair of legs looks -- now

Cool!

Yes, Nice match!
Even the web looks similar now

What about a
dorsal view?

I know...
They were not cooperative, I may need to go back and try again.

Interesting
If you can... do get more shots. They might be spiderlings, which are pretty hard to ID. Make sure you take shots of any other spiders in the area... maybe we'll get some adults.
