Body length
here would be appreciated. I'm curently doing a taxonomic study of North American Scarites (a difficult group) and would appreciate southern specimens for examination. In particular, I need enigmatic true Scarites quadriceps from southeastern USA. I suspect those all will be greater than 21 mm body length. Thanks.

I had to go and find the specimen. It was in a container in the freezer. The measurement is from the tip of mandibles to end of abdomen, hope this helps.

"Scarites subterraneus" is likely
based on just the minimum combination of geographic location and body length significantly less than 21 mm. Thanks Jerry.
