Beetle - Centrodera spurca

Beetle - Centrodera spurca
Bonny Doon, Santa Cruz County, California, USA
July 30, 2010
Size: 1"
Apparently this was attacking the 10 lined June Beetle this night. This one has straight antenna, and a patch over part of the eye, I have photos of another one that has curved antenna and the patch over the eye is nearly non existent.

For the record, isn't that location Bonny Doon?

Depends on which map your loo
Depends on which map your looking at, I have at least three versions of the spelling on local maps. Means the same thing in Gaelic, basically Happy Mountain. I can spell it that way if you wish.
