Found on Mulefat (Baccharis salicifolia).

Is this a Root-maggot Fly (Anthomyiidae); and if so, would it belong in the Anthomyiini tribe ?

I hope they'll find it there, among the more than 22 pages of unidentified flies ...

Might this fresh submission not benefit from staying a bit longer at ID Request ?

I've noticed that a lot of experts look at ID Request during the weekend.

 
Flies is better
There are fly experts who won't notice a picture in ID request but I don't think there are any who will see a fly in ID request and not in Flies. We're trying to sort quickly at least to order to keep ID request from getting too huge.
