Wood Boring Beetle - Polycaon

Wood Boring Beetle - Polycaon
Dyer, Lake County, Indiana, USA
August 3, 2010
Size: 1.5cm (possibly stunted)
I was storing some extra pieces of grapevine in a empty fish tank and just discovered it was full of beetles. Tank was lidded and has had no water or food for 2+ years. I'm in total shock there are even live beetles and grubs present. I am wondering if the beetles size may be stunted due to lack of food and water.
