Spider ID - Tennesseellum formica - Male
Norfolk, Virginia, USA

Size: ~2.5-3mm
Small ant mimic. Very fast and agile like an ant. I thought it was an ant until it jumped off the leaf and was hanging by its web.

You can probably file as T. formica, since the only undescribed species is from California. Any critter filed on BugGuide without taxonomic verification is potentially undescribed. Lovely photos, BTW. Wish I'd managed as well.

Tenneesseellum
The projections on the ventral palpal tibia definitively place this in Tennesseellum (Linyphiidae). (The females don't have these projections though.) The habitus looks right too. Only one species is described for this genus, T. formica, but it is claimed that another is undescribed from California.

Thanks!

Nice one
I'd guess Corinnidae.

Thanks!

Nice one Scott!
It looks like a mature male with those well developed palps.

Thanks Tom!
Found it under a leaf of a wild lettuce plant. I selected 'adult' for this one due to the appearance of the palps.
